Acceptable Use and Vendor Policy

SANETHUB Acceptable Use and Vendor Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

1. Purpose

SanetHub connects businesses, customers, products and services through a digital marketplace and business directory.

This policy sets out the rules for businesses, vendors and users who list, advertise, sell or promote products and services on the platform.

2. Business registration and onboarding

Businesses may apply for a free directory listing. Free listing does not automatically authorise a business to sell products or use every marketplace feature.

Businesses seeking to sell or advertise through vendor-enabled features may be required to register and submit relevant information for review.

Our onboarding process may include:

– Collecting the person’s name and contact details.

– Collecting the business name, contact information and business details.

– Verifying the email address.

– Reviewing available information to assess whether the business appears to exist and operate legitimately.

– Requesting additional identity, registration or supporting documents where necessary.

Approval is subject to the applicable requirements and the nature of the vendor’s activities.

3. Accuracy of information

Vendors must provide truthful and up-to-date information about their identity, business, products, prices, stock, delivery arrangements and services.

Vendors must not use false identities, misleading claims, stolen images or fabricated reviews.

Material changes to business ownership, contact details or operations should be communicated to SanetHub.

4. Vendor verification and enhanced checks

SanetHub may request additional information where a vendor, product, transaction or business activity presents an increased risk.

Additional checks may include reviewing supporting business documents, confirming contact details, verifying available registration information or requesting further explanations.

SanetHub may delay approval, reject an application or restrict a listing if the requested information is not provided or concerns remain unresolved.

Verification does not guarantee a vendor’s future conduct or the quality of every product.

5. Prohibited activities

Users and vendors may not use SanetHub to:

– Commit fraud, theft, scams or other unlawful activities.

– Sell stolen, counterfeit or unlawfully obtained goods.

– Advertise prohibited or unlawfully restricted products.

– Publish deceptive prices, false claims or misleading product descriptions.

– Impersonate another person or business.

– Publish another person’s private information without lawful authority.

– Harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse other users.

– Manipulate reviews, orders, enquiries or marketplace activity.

– Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data.

– Use the platform to distribute malware, spam or malicious links.

– Circumvent payment, verification or security controls.

Products subject to licences, permits or special legal restrictions may only be listed where the relevant requirements are met and the platform permits them.

6. Product and service responsibilities

Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their products and services are lawful, accurately described and supplied in accordance with applicable consumer protection requirements.

Vendors must obtain any required licences, permits or professional authorisations.

Vendors must communicate realistic prices, availability, delivery arrangements and relevant conditions before accepting an order.

7. Orders and customer communications

Vendors must respond to genuine customer enquiries within a reasonable period and must not mislead customers about order status or delivery.

Vendors must not request unnecessary personal information or use customer details for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.

Customer information received through SanetHub must be handled securely and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

8. Payments and refunds

Vendors must follow the payment arrangements authorised for their activities on SanetHub.

Vendors may not claim that SanetHub holds funds in escrow or guarantees a payment unless that arrangement has been expressly approved and implemented.

Refunds and cancellations must be handled according to the applicable transaction terms and South African law.

9. Monitoring and enforcement

SanetHub may review listings, investigate reported complaints and request further information when reasonably necessary.

Where we identify suspected fraud, unlawful conduct, misleading content or a breach of this policy, we may:

– Request correction of a listing.

– Remove or suspend content.

– Restrict vendor functionality.

– Suspend or terminate an account.

– Refer suspected unlawful conduct to the relevant authorities where appropriate.

We will consider the circumstances and any applicable legal obligations when taking action.

10. Reporting a problem

Users can report suspicious listings, suspected fraud, misleading information or other policy violations by emailing hello@sanethub.co.za.

Please provide the relevant listing or order details and any supporting evidence.

11. Policy updates

SanetHub may update this policy as the platform develops. The current version will be published on this page.
